Mother Earth Produce is making it easier to eat local veggies and fruits. Mother Earth Produce works with a network of regional farms, delivering produce from farms in Western North Carolina to your door—starting in April 2012. Register (it’s free to register) between now and March 15, you will be entered to win one month ($100) of free local produce from Mother Earth Produce!
Local produce delivery is a great option for people without transportation (seniors, people with disabilities) or for the busy person or family who wants to eat local, but finds it easier to stop by a grocery store instead of seeking out a farmers market.
Here’s how it works:
1. Register for free on www.MotherEarthProduce.com
2. Place your online order: choose a small, medium or large bag of fruit and veggies (and customize it if you want)
3. Mother Earth Produce brings WNC farm fresh produce to your front door
You can sign up for a recurring delivery or do it week by week. $26 for a small bag and $36 for a medium and $46 for a large.
They are working with Advantage West, ASAP, and numerous farms in WNC (and looking for more partners), Andrea and Graham DuVall based their business off of a successful model based in Frederick, MD. Check them out, register and eat your veggies!
