Blogger/reporter Jason Sandford of Ashvegas.com landed an interview with Hunger Games/Seabiscuit director, Gary Ross. Adding to a list that includes the President, Asheville, it seems, has earned another raving fan.

Quotes from the AC-T interview:

“I remember nights at the Bywater, pulling up a stump, sitting by the water and listening to some music; riding my bicycle along the Blue Ridge Parkway,” Ross recalled.

“And rolling down Lexington Avenue past the used record stores and coffee shops, and pulling books off the shelf at the (Battery Park) Book Exchange and reading passages,” Ross said.

All in all, Asheville was “an astounding place,” Ross said.

“Southern hospitality may be a cliche, but when you’re making a movie, it’s essential. I’ll definitely be back.”
