I should mention, in college one of my favorite books was Mr. Wilson’s Cabinet of Wonders, by Lawrence Weshler, about the origins and functions of museums. In the book he discusses 18th century wonder cabinets: collections without boundaries displaying marvels and curisoties. Elisabeth’s home and style remind me of that and her home is one of my favorite places in Asheville.
