LaZoom Bus Tours branches out from its usual comedy tour to provide an up-close look at River District art studios, gorgeous art gardens and some of Asheville’s best and most interesting artists at work.
Local painter Gabriel Shaffer leads a tour that puts Asheville art in a national perspective, sharing Asheville’s rich art history (Black Mountain College, Art Deco architecture) along the way.
Highly recommended as a fun, educational and inspiring way to spend a Saturday morning.
Starting May 21, this tour runs every Saturday at 11 a.m. from French Broad Food Co-Op. Stops include the River Arts District and West Asheville.
Cost is $35, with a $7 discount running the first few weeks of the tour.
